Urapunga School
Urapunga residents value education highly and work with the School to maximise both attendance and participation by its children. Secondary students usually go on to boarding schools in Darwin and interstate, with many successfully graduating from Year 12.
![]() After a Urapunga School excursion to Adelaide in 2007, Amara Tyson went and studied at Walford Boarding School in South Australia for 2 years and did very well with all subjects. She is currently doing her Year 12 at Marrara Boarding College in Darwin. | ![]() Class of 2008: Michael Paddy graduated from Year 12 studies at Kormilda College, with the Top Student Boarding Award. At last report he was continuing his studies with a VET Outdoor Education and Recreation course. |
Class of 2007: Elaine Daniels and Winnie Anne Duncan (right) both graduated from Kormilda College in '07 after a tough but very successful year. | Winnie won several awards, including Top Student for Year 12 VET Academic Award, ABSTUDY Annual Achievement Award and a Subject Award for Community Studies. |
